1. Roman Candle

by Peter Bloedel and The Divers

You light up the dark
Keep on burning, keep on shining
You shoot fire at the sky
Ooo right through the air
They won't pull you down
Keep on burning, keep on shining
I said you
Look at you, you're a roman candle

Your mood is bright
Keep on burning, keep on shining
You raise me up
Ooo right through the air
You put a smile on my face
Keep on burning, keep on shining
I said you
Look at you, you're a roman candle

I said you
Look at you, you're a roman candle

2. I Think We Can Be Friends

by Will Bauermeister

I think we can be friends
Work through our differences
Justify our means with our ends
I think we can be friends
Think we can be friends

You wait too long to speak
I'll wait for just one week
I think it all depends
I think we can be friends
Think we can be friends

I must have hit some nerve
You threw me quite a curve
I think it all depends
I think we can be friends
Think we can be friends

I'd like to hear your speech
But you're out of my reach
I think it all depends
I think we can be friends
Think we can be friends

3. 80° at Last

by Loren Halvorson

The cloudless sky again is blue
A robin on my windowsill
The longer days have found the joy I've been yearning for
And the starry nights have lost their chill

CHORUS:
And it's 80 degrees at last
And summer is comin' none too fast
The long winter is takin' its toll
On my spirit and on my soul

The trees show off their bright new green
The wildflowers are in bloom
They lift their faces and they smile at the warmth above
And God's creation is renewed

[CHORUS]

The springtime air smells sweet with life
And warm breeze lifts my cares away
I thank my God for this world that He's given us
And for the beauty of this day

[CHORUS]

4. Captain Molecule

by Will Bauermeister

Let the girl go
She's of no use to you

Arm the molecutron ray
Arming the molecutron, Ray

Losing power
Got to save earth in time

CHORUS:
All around the city
All around the world
All around the universe
There goes Captain Molecule
Oooo oooo

He's red, white and blue, and his nerves are like steel
And, he talks to the people, knows just how they feel
You can see him give speeches to children and boy scouts
Gives them a lecture until he is thrown out

[CHORUS]

He helps all the old folks with bags full of groceries
No doubt he's the greatest, above all of course he's
A scholar of science, a master of fine arts
His diet is healthy, he shops in the health marts

[CHORUS]

He fights off the dangers that threaten the planet
Unless he is out with his girlfriend named Janet
He always recycles his pop cans and paper
Unless he is out and befoiling some caper

[CHORUS]

5. I Think You're Worth It

by Will Bauermeister

I walked in to the corner shop
You were the waitress at the corner shop
I looked at you and my heart stopped
I said, "Hey good lookin' can I take you out?"
You said, "Well come back baby, when a year is out."

CHORUS: Well, I'll wait for you because
I think you're worth it
I'll wait for you because
I think you're worth it

I saw you walking through the city park
Wondered why 'cuz it was way after dark
I stepped up to you and there I said
"Do you remember me from the corner shop?"
You said, "Leave me alone, or I'll call a cop!"

[CHORUS]

You rode your bike on the way to the fair
Took a chance and I followed you there
Made my move on machinery hill
I said, "I need some one babe, to hold me tight."
You said, "Look out baby, you'll get rabies if I bite!"

[CHORUS]

6. I Don't Need No Glasses

by Loren Halvorson and Peter Bloedel

Well, I don't need no glasses uh uh no
I don't need no glasses
'Cuz I don't need to look no farther than you
Might have to watch TV by touch
I might miss the garage when I'm in a rush
But I don't need no glasses
'Cuz I love you

I don't need no
Dark shades in the tropics, safety lenses, techno optics
Cornea incision, gradient amber vision
Contacts, bi-focals, cataracts, tri-focals
Eye chart, prescription, monacle, astigmatism
I don't need no glasses
I don't need no glasses
I don't need to look no farther than you

I don't need no new shows uh uh no
I don't need new shoes
'Cuz I'm not walkin' I'm staying right close to you
My tennies may be full of holes
You may look down and smell my toes
But I don't need new shoes
'Cuz I love you

I don't need no
Cleats, pumps, moccasins, hiking boots, air jordans
Hush puppies, steel toe, ice skates, pantyhose
High tops, penny loafers, saddle shoes, bunny slippers
Wooden clogs, canvas sneakers, corn pads, odor eaters
I don't need no new shoes
I don't need new shoes
'Cuz I'm ain't walkin' I'm stayin' right close to you

I don't need no glasses uh uh no
I don't need no glasses
'Cuz I don't need to look no farther than you
I might have to watch TV by touch
I might miss the garage by just this much
But I don't need no glasses
'Cuz I love you
'Cuz I love you
'Cuz I love you
'Cuz I love you

7. Bonnie

by Peter Bloedel

Bonnie storms out of the house
Grabs the keys, slams the door behind her
Her compact car, it ain't fast
But it'll take her far enough away
That man, that man
In my whole life, I wish I'd never met him
She takes her hand off of the wheel
Wipes the tears and hair out of her eyes

But she will fall in love again
She will fall in love
She will fall in love again
She will fall in love
Again

Jimmy's fuming in his room
He slouches in his chair, he's got the tube on
Those colors won't sedate him
But, they might take him far enough away
That girl, that girl
In my whole life I've never seen such senselessness
He turns the volume higher
Drowns his sorrows in a pool of sound

But he will fall in love again
He will fall in love
He will fall in love again
He will fall in love Again

By now Bonnie's at her mom's
Jimmy's at his house out on the doorstep
They are not together
But, their hearts aren't so very far away
You boys, you girls
Chance Bonnie's mom while sweeping out the kitchen
You can't just find each other
You've got to find the couple you're becoming

But they will fall in love again
They will fall in love
They will fall in love again
They will fall in love
Again

9. Time

by Peter Bloedel

I was a boy in the suburb
In a house with four older sisters and brothers
And a big back yard
With trees that reached to the sky
I'd swing on my swing nearly every day
Run through the old empty lot where we'd play
Where my brother had tickled me
Making me almost cry

CHORUS: Time, time where have you gone
I've cherished your moments like a favorite song
Dreamed of the future, learned from the past
Believed in forever
But, we grew up so fast

The toys that I had they were everywhere
Out on the sidewalk, on top of the stairs
I would not let them rest
'Til the noon whistle blew
Mother would rock me to sleep with a tune
Dad and a surprise every afternoon
Their love for me
Was more than I ever knew

[CHORUS]

My brothers and sisters have married
They seem to pack up and move out in a hurry
But I have now grown
And my toys are no longer the same
Mom and Dad now have an empty home
And the back yard seems small 'cuz the trees are all gone
And the old empty lot is no more
But, fond memories remain

[CHORUS]

10. Shannon

by Will Bauermeister

CHORUS: Oh Shannon, you don't know what I feel about you
Oh Shannon, I'm crazy about you
Oh Shannon, now you know what I feel about you
Oh Shannon, I'm crazy about you

You came to me, when the world drove me crazy
You said to me, it was driving you crazy too
You came to me, you filled me with pride
You took my heart, and you opened up my eyes

[CHORUS]

This havoc world, as crazy as it may be
Can go its own way, doesn't bother me anymore
Oh friend of mine, oh quelle mari
Oh my turpentine, you're my fish in the sea

[CHORUS]

If I was stranded on a desert isle
And all I had was a pineapple
I would give it up so quickly
Just to have one look at you

[CHORUS]
